What some are saying about this Gratitude Exchange.

Frank, New York

All of us have experienced life’s challenges, which over time erode our ability to view each day with any hope of positivity. Approaching each day as a chore slowly becomes the norm only to be reinforced by all that we read and hear – creating a negative sensory overload. For me personally – I could not get the right mindset to start each day. Reading inspiring statements is just that – you are not experiencing the inspiration. You are essentially on the outside looking in – it is not a part of you.

I came to Barbara looking for a different approach, “Daily Gratitude” – skeptical that just being grateful for the small things happening in my life would make a difference. Barbara’s tenacity and guidance showed me how to view those small nuggets each day – something as simple as a peaceful ride to work or a perfect sunny day was worth being gracious for each and every day. So – I began my day under Barbara’s guidance, picking three things that I could be grateful for – no matter how bad the day might have started off – or whatever news I heard – there would be three things that I would be grateful for. Barbara’s encouragement and words always looking at life another way, each and every day, slowly started to take hold, and change my thought patterns.  I began to look forward to looking for those nuggets in the stormy sea.

After one full year of working with Barbara my view of life has changed. The daily gratitude actually altered my brain. Just as exercise in the morning, daily morning gratitude allowed me to approach each day with a fresh start – a reset. I can handle what is going to be thrown at me – because I know in all of it – tomorrow morning I will see three golden spots shining, grab them, be gracious for finding them, and start my day.

A year ago I never would have believed that I could view life in this way – but through Barbara’s guidance – I haven’t found one day in the 365 days that have passed where I could not find three things in life to be gracious for.

Thank you Barbara for giving me the ability to see life through your eyes. You have truly altered my brain chemistry to see the rainbows through the clouds, and for that I am truly grateful.

I am grateful and thankful for Barbara’ kindness, positiveness, her patience and friendship.
Our daily “gratitude conversations” made me realize that there is always something to be grateful for, no matter how bad your day is.
It may seem easy to do so but when done daily it somehow brought me back to earth and “stop and smell the roses”.
It’s a gentle daily introspection to look for the positive.
Barbara has helped me in more ways that I will ever be able to explain and helps me daily to “break the habit of being myself”.
If you cross Barbara’ path it means that it was meant to be so take the time to talk to her; she’s worth it and so are you!
